When a short circuit fault occurs in the power system or the weather suddenly changes, the personnel should conduct a spot check on the transformer and its auxiliary equipment. I. Inspection after a short circuit in the power system or a transformer accident. Check the transformer for any bursting, displacement, deformation, burnt smell, flashover, oil spraying, etc., whether the oil temperature is normal, whether the external insulation is cracked, and whether the grounding wire is burnt. II. Inspection after strong winds, thunderstorms, and hail. Check the swing of the transformer leads and whether there are any broken strands, whether there are any hanging objects on the leads and transformer, and whether there are any discharge flashover marks and cracks on the insulating bushings. III. Inspection during heavy fog, light rain, and snow. Check whether there is any surface discharge flashover on the insulating bushings. After light rain or snowfall, there should be no water vapor rising or snow melting at the heating parts of the various lead connections. There should be no icicles on the conductive parts. If water vapor rises or snow melts, use an infrared thermometer to further measure the actual temperature of the joint. If there are icicles, they should be removed immediately. IV. Inspection during overload operation. Check and record the load current, check the changes in oil temperature and oil level, check whether the sound of the transformer is normal, check the heating condition of the joints, temperature indicator wax tablets, check whether the cooler is operating normally, and check whether the explosion-proof membrane and pressure relief valve are in the unoperated state. V. Inspection during sudden temperature changes. When the temperature suddenly drops or rises, the oil level in the oil cushion and the oil level in the insulating bushing should be checked for normality, as well as the oil temperature and temperature rise. Check whether there is any deformation, broken strands, heating, or redness in the connecting leads on each side. VI. Inspection after the transformer is put into operation after connection or major repairs. Within 4 hours, a patrol inspection should be carried out every hour. In addition to the normal items, the following inspection contents should be added: 1. Check the change in the sound of the transformer. If a particularly loud, uneven sound or a discharge sound is found, it can be considered that there is an internal fault. 2. Check the change in oil level or oil temperature. The normal oil level and oil temperature should rise slightly and slowly as the transformer carries the load. 3. Check the cooler temperature. Touch each group of coolers; the temperature should be uniform and normal.
